Unrest in the Akhaian camp Panic that attends blood-chilling Rout now ruled the Akhaians. All their finest men were shaken by this fear, in bitter throes, as when a shifting gale

What has come over you, to make you think the Akhaians weak and craven as you say?

Agamemnon hosts a gathering where they agree to ask Akhilleus for help.

They send Phoinix, Aias and Odysseus.

They make the offer but Akhilleus refuses.

Phoinix is shocked and says he cannot accept it. (He then tells 2 stories)

Phoinix tells Akhilleus to accept the offer while it still stands

Akhilleus refuses

He asks Phoinix to spend the night in his tent
