Lay fabric out flat with the right side facing up The 36 inches (1 yard of fabric) is the width of the pillow case and the 42 incheg will be the length folded in half. 2. Now with the wrong side of the fabric facing up, take the end you just serged and fold over 4 inches and iron the seam. Stitch in place right up against the edge with a % inch seam. 4. Take the 2 pieces of fabric for the pocket (both 16 x 12) and pin right sides together. Stitch all the way around with a %"seam leaving a 3 inch gap on one side for turning. 6. Cut the child’s initial out of the felt. I usually print up the initial that takes up most of the page on my word program (depending on which font you use it can be as large as 675) and then place it on the back of the Wonder Under backwards and trace around it in pencil. Then, I cut from there. 9, Iron this on to the front of the pocket closer to the bottom to leave room for the Velcro at the top. Zig zag stitch around the letter. I 10. Place the 3 inch piece of Velcro centered on the inside of the pocket approx. 6 %” from each side and about %” down from the top. Stitch around the piece of Velcro with a small zig zag stitch, = yelevo [Rr 11. Take your pillow case fabric with the wrong side facing up and fold in half length wise with the fold on the bottom. Sew the left ends together with a 5/8” seam. If not using a serger, zig zag this stitch afterwards Don’t sew the top pieces of fabric together yet. Now turn it right side out.12. With the fold on the bottom and the left seam sewn it’s time to sew the pocket on to the front. Measure 3 inches from the bottom and approx. 6 4” from the left to place to pocket. That will leave approx. 9” to the end of the pillow case opening on the right. Pin to the top layer only and sew all the way around with a }” seam Make sure to only _sew it top layer 13.
