1. FEATURES
EVRC2A Interface Software is program available WINDOWS, able to manage History Data and Setting Value by connecting Port1(RS232) of EVRC2A. It has features as follows. 1) Recloser can be registered as a Item and registered Recloser is managed as an Area of Equipment. 2) History Data can be managed in each registered Recloser Item. 3) All History Data of Recloser can be recorded and displayed on screen, measured data can be checked by graph. 4) Recorded History Data can be saved as a file and the saved file can be read and printed with Off-Line. 5) In the User Interface Panel, setting can be changed On-Line without using key.

2. INSTALLATION
Extract the file, launch evrc2aXX.exe for the installation. Following pictures show the program installation. (EVRC2A Interface Software is available in ENTEC website - http://www.entecene.co.kr) 1) Click [Next] 2) Select a folder to be installed.

3. PROGRAM START
1) Launch the program from Start/Programs/ENTEC/EVRC2A Interface Software/EVRC2A Interface Software

TITLE BAR
Shows specs of Hardware. (Control Firmware Version 3.01 higher support)

MENU BAR
All program functions are in Menu.

TOOL BAR
Some of functions in MENU BAR can be made for ICON to run easily

WORK SPACE
Shows registered Item and RDB File as Tree Structure.

REGISTRATION SPACE
Saves/displays information of Item such as Mfg.Serial NO.

STATUS BAR
Displays Help Note when Menu or Toolbar is selected and it shows ON-Line/Off-Line status of EVRC2A.

4.1. FILE
Open function can be operated on OFF-line.

Open: Opens saved History Data File(*.RDB). Save: Saves History Data as a file. Setting Open:
Opens saved Setting File(*.SYS)

Setting Save: Saves Setting Value. Class-Defined Info. Open: Opens saved
Class Defined Information File(*.TXT) It is supported only from DNP 3.0 Protocol.

Quit: It quits the program.

4.2. VIEW
Setting Value: It displays Setting Value

System Status: It shows System Status Event. Load Profile: It shows Load Profile Event. Fault Cycle Event: It shows Fault Cycle Event. Diagnostic Event: It shows Diagnostic Event. Actual Value & Control: It shows Actual Value of Controller and possible to Remote Control. Workspace: It Shows or hides the Workspace. Tool Bar: It Shows or hides the Tool Bar. Status Bar: It Shows or hides the Status Bar.

6. ADD RECLOSER ITEM


y y Many recloser can be managed as registered Items. Registered Reclosers are managed in each Area of Equipment.

1) Fill in each Recloer Registration blank with proper value and press [Register] button.

Mfg. Serial No.


Enter serial Number.
1) Fill in the blanks

Date of Manufacture
Enter date of manufacture.

Date of Equipment
Enter data of Equipment.
2) Click

Area of Equipment
Enter area of Equipment. (After registration, Area of Equipment becomes Item name and the same Item name can not be used at the same time.

Specification
Enter any necessary note for user.

Modify Recloser Registration. Register new Item. Print Recloser Registration. (Please refer to 13.1. Recloser Registration Print Example)

EVRC2A Interface Software includes following features about the tree structure.

4) Recloser Registration It is a top of tree structure. Functions are; Refresh: Refresh the tree structure. Scan all: It scans and displays the all RDB files in the selected folder. Delete all: Remove all items from the tree. View only registered area: If it is checked only displayed registered item.

5) Item It is a item that registered in the registration space. Functions are; Scan Files: It scans and displays the same item name in the selected folder. Delete Item: Remove the selected item from the tree.

6) *.RDB It is a RDB file in the item. Functions are; Change Eq. Area: It changes the item location. Click [Change Eq. Area], [Area of Eq.] is come out. Type into area of equipment, and click, [Change]. If new equipment is set, click [New], and register Recloser Item. Remove from list: Remove the selected file list from the item.

7. ONLINE CONNECTION
1) Connect Communication Cable to Serial Port on computer. (Both side of Communication Cable are the same type, for more details about Cable information refer to Figure of Communication Cable in User Manual-Recloser Control EVRC2A. 2) Connect the other side of Communication Cable to Port 1 in User Interface Panel. 3) Run EVRC2A Interface Software and select Online/Connect

4) Check Port Setting Status before change and press [Port Setting] button.

5) Select Serial Port and Baud Rate to be used in PC and press [OK] button. y y Baud Rate of EVRC2A is fixed for 19.2K. Press [Default Setting] button as below Serial Port: COM1, Baud Rate: 19.2K

Check Serial Port. If Serial Port setting is Tool Bar activates. correct, check cable connection and after exit the program, try again.

9. HISTORY DATA VIEW


Sub Menu in View Menu indicate ONLINE DATA, OFFLINE DATA on Title Bar depending on the status. <ONLINE DATA> Received data from EVRC2A with OnLine. <OFFLINE DATA> Loaded data from saved File(*.RDB) with Off-Line. File name is displayed.

Numbering is apply from the lastest Event. 500 Event is displayed from 1 to 500.

TYPE
It shows a kind of Event. For each Event please refer to Table 9-1. SYSTEM STATUS EVENTS for more detail.

STATUS
HI/ASSERT: An Event in STATUS has occurred. LO/DEASSERT: An Event in STATUS has disoccurred.

Year, Month, Day, Hour, Minute, Sec, msec


It shows year, month, day, hour, minute, second, 1/1000 second of Event occurred.

11. SETTING VALUE TRANSFER


1) Select Online/Upload Setting

2) Select Data to transfer, press [OK] button. [OFFLINE-*.SYS] Saved Setting Value Data, file name(*.SYS) is shown together. [ONLINE] It means received Setting Value with On-Line. 3) To transfer Primary Setting Value, select [Primary Setting] button and to transfer Alternate Setting Value, press [Alternate Setting] button. To transfer Other Setting(BANK1~6) Value, select [Others] button. 4) Press [OK] button to start transfer. 5) It shows transferring Primary Setting Value.

12. DATA MANAGEMENT


EVRC2A Interface Software manages Data from RDB File, SYS File, TXT File.

RDB File
y y y y RDB File has all History Data and Setting Value, so it is possible to check them. After receiving at least one History Data with On-Line, it can be saved. Item, RDB File is saved under a selected. In different Item, other RDB File can not be used. When opening a file, sub Menu under View Menu is activated.

SYS File
y y y y SYS File has Setting Value only, this file is used to change Setting Value. With On-Line, after received Setting Value, it can be saved. It can be used by opening all Item. When opening file, sub menu under Online/Change Setting is activated.

TXT File
y y TXT File has Class-defined Information, this file is used to change Class Value. It can be used by opening all Item.
