The Road Runner

A Reference For The Montair Staff

Community is the basic lesson of the classroom. It is in childrens understanding of community that differences become a resource rather than a deterrent to social evolution. If the world is ever to know peace, it will be a result of the true appreciation of community. Anonymous

Roadrunner(s) of the Week!

Beep! Beep! Every Teacher at Montair! All back to school nights are complete. Thank you for doing a great job! Everyone did an impressive job presenting to parents. I visited every classroom and saw your professionalism in action. Everyone prepared fabulous presentations. When I made the announcement that BTSN would end at 8:00pm, some of you stayed afterwards to answer questions and reassure parents that this will be a great school year. PD Plans and Cycles of Inquiry

Wow! I have already received a couple PD plans and cycle of inquires. A few reminders and suggestions: 1) Ensure you complete both the professional development plan and cycle of inquiry. 2) Cycle of inquiry should reflect dates from August 27 to October 11. 3) Emphasize what things I should notice during walk-thrus. I will send a detail email with more details and examples this weekend.

Wow! Still looking great!

Safety Tip
Lock your doors! Our door locks are considered Columbine locks. Your doors can be locked without activating a deadbolt. When an attacker breaks the window on your door, they cannot easily enter the classroom. Also if the door is locked, students can exit the classroom but intruders cannot enter. For safety purposes, I suggest you lock your doors at all times.

Bulletin Boards in Front Office

Were looking for two classrooms to display student work in the front office. Please let me know if youre interested by 9/18/13, otherwise we will assign a grade level or teacher bi-weekly.
