Proper nouns name particular persons, places or things. Proper nouns are capitalized. Common nouns name a whole group of persons, places or things. Common nouns are not capitalized.
Pronouns is a word used in place of a noun. There are five kinds of pronouns; personal, relative, interrogative, and indefinite.
Verb is a word that tells of an action or a state of being. Adverbs are words that modify verbs, adjectives, other adverbs, entire sentences, or clauses. An adverb usually answers the questions: How? When? Where? or to what extent.
Preposition is a word used with a noun or pronoun called its object, to show the relationship between noun or pronoun and some other word in the sentence.
Conjunction is a word that connects words or groups of words. There are coordinating, correlative, and subordinating conjunctions.
Interjection is a word or group of words used to express strong feeling. Feelings may be either fear, horror, happiness, sorrow, surprise. Interjection are followed by an exclamation point.
