Majority students preparing for CAT are confused about which books to refer to. CAT as an exam has mutated over last few years. CAT questions have become more tricky, more lengthy and now contain a complex mixture of 3-4 concepts in the same problem. When it comes to reference books for CAT preparation, only a few books are available at bookstores. Many students then turn to notes provided by tuition classes, even though most of these notes are similar. Any book or reference material that students use should help him/her develop basic concepts, tips, tricks and strategies. A reference material should give the student sufficient practice on problems with varying difficulty level. A reference material can be considered a credible guide only if concepts are lucidly explained in the most efficient way (aka shortcuts!) to solve the problems.
