Student Free Day

Welcome back to Term 2. It is good to see so many students in uniform but there are still far too
many people out of uniform, please take the time to ensure your child is appropriately clothed,
uniforms can be purchased from the school.

As is always the case there are some staff changes. Firstly welcome back to Mrs Cindy Johnston
from maternity leave. Cindy has returned to school 3 days a week. Mrs Leanne Wickham and Mrs
Karina Van Essen have returned one day a week working on special projects. Mr Nic Page has
joined the team from a position in Drug Education Network and Ulverstone High, and Mr Gavin
Smith who has been transferred from Parklands High. At the end of term 1, we farewelled Mr
John Summers who has returned to Launceston, we wish him well for the future. Finally we would
like pass on our congratulations to Ms Glover and Mr Heathcote who got married during the
holidays. We now have another Mr & Mrs on our team.

Term 2 is always a challenging time due to weather conditions and illness however for the
moment the concern around Swine Flu has lessened but we ask that families follow the notes
around flue signs and symptoms – that way we will all be healthier.

Make this term count for your child – get them to school, on time, in uniform and ready for work.
Please don’t forget to inform the school as to the reason why your child is absent.
