When you write a character sketch- think about the image you want to create in the readers mind.
You want the reader to be able to visualize the character. You should also have evidence to proof to back up your descriptions. Evidence can be examples from the story or the persons life.
Before you begin: Brainstorm traits you can use to describe the character.

Who was Sadako Sasaki? Sadako was a young girl who lived in Japan after World War II. When thinking about Sadako, a few outstanding traits come to mind. She was a very caring girl. She always tried to make other people feel good. She made a friend while she was in the hospital, Kenji, and gave him a paper crane. Earning a spot on the racing team was a perfect example of her energetic personality. Sadako was also a courageous little girl. She knew she was sick, but still tried to make the best of her situation. She started to make one thousand paper cranes in the hopes that she will get well again. Sadako is a girl that is still remembered today by many people all over the world.
