SCOPEOFWORK Ascrossmaindrainagestructures,boxculvertswillbeconstructedatinstructedlocationsbythe SupervisorsRepresentativetoreplacehydraulicallyinadequatepipeculverts. METHOD Asitestorehasbeensetuptostockmaterialsincludingcementandreinforcingsteel.Mobilizationof plantandequipmentwillcommenceuponreceiptofagoahead/siteinstructiontocommenceworkon theculverts. Themainworkswillincludeactivitiessuchassettingout,excavations,blinding,reinforcementand formwork,batching,mixingandcasting,curingandbackfilling. Allworkswillonlycommenceuponacceptanceand/orapprovalofpreviouslycompletedworkatevery stageoftheconstruction. Safetyprecautionsaretobeadheredbyensuringthat,allplantsareoperatedbyauthorizedoperators. Besides,allworkersintheconcretesectionwillbeprovidedwithsafetygearsincludingdustmasks, handgloves,gumboots,helmets,gogglesandothersasapplicable. Curingand Backfilling.

Teamsheadedbyaconcreteforemanwill startwithblindingthebasetothe specifiedthicknessusingmaterials complyingwithspecificationsandof approvedmixdesigntotheacceptanceof theS.R. Reinforcementwillbelaidandfixedby adheringtothebarbendingscheduleand anyothersiteinstructionissuedbythe S.Rregardingbendingofsteelbars. Uponapprovalofthereinforcement, formworkusingwroughtandunwrought timberwillbefirmlyfixedtothe satisfactionoftheS.R. Batchingtotheinstructedmixdesignwill bedoneforconcretematerialsthat complywithrelevant Specifications. Uponacceptanceofbatching,concrete mixingwillbedonebymeansofa concretemixerandconcretecastedand compactedusingapokervibratortothe satisfactionoftheS.R. Concretecubesatacceptablebatch intervalswillbecasttomonitorqualityof concretelaid. Similarprocedureswillbeappliedto constructthewalls,endstructuresand finallythedeckalltothesatisfactionand approvaloftheS.R. Ateamledbytheconcreteforemanwill ensurepropercuringofthestructures withadequateportablewater. Aftercuring,ateamheadedbythe earthworksforemanwillensurethat backfillingwithspecificationscompliant materialsisadequatelycompactedand acceptedbytheS.R.
