Movie Review – The Notebook

In a story of love, no one knows how will it start and how will it end. The Notebook is an

amazing movie based upon two persons who share passion and love for each other. First love is

the one whom nobody ever forgets. That’s what happens in this movie directed by Nick

Cassavetes. The Notebook is an epic story based upon a couple who spent an unforgettable

summer where they fell in love with each other before being separated first by the girl’s parents

and then by World War II. When they meet again, the girl Allie has to choose between her soul

mate and class order. If you believe in first sight love, passion and commitments, this is the

movie to watch. Based on the Novel by Nicholas Sparks, this is the kind of story which has a

complete ending and the viewer is not left thinking to himself what would or possibly happen

next.

The movie leaves the viewer feeling happy and joyful. The scenery and plot in the movie is just

brilliant. One feels like he is part of the characters and is always concerned about their lives. The

actors have played their roles magnificently. Ryan Gosling is as brilliant as the quiet and

charming Noah, and Rachael McAdams is as much beautiful and gorgeous as the heroine of the

movie, Allie. The movie flashbacks from their summer love to their early adult lives and then to

their old age in a nursing home. In the nursing home, Noah reads Allie their Notebook which is

actually their love story. Allie, suffering from Alzheiemers remembers none of it and thinks of it

as a simple love story. The story recreates effectively the times of 1940s in America and the

parental pressures on their children due to class order. The Notebook is as good as a movie as it

is in writing. The movie is praised for its ability to translate on the big screen. It is well directed

and beautifully photographed.

Well, the bottom line is that this movie is a chick flick and is best to watch with your girlfriends!
