Summary of Comic In the Amazing Spider Man issue #1 part of the torment series its about how spider man is doing his daily duty of keeping his eye on the city of New York. Spider Man starts to notice some peculiar things in the city. He starts to notice some murders that seem a bit unusual. Killings that look like it didnt take place by a human. Spider man soon realizes that these murders are the act of the evil lizard. The lizard is a evil character who is under a evil spell. The person who put the evil lizard under the spell was Calypso. Calypso was a old foe of spider mans who used the lizard to take him down. Calypso put some poision on the claws of the lizard to make sure he would get spider man. Review I came in between with this article. Some things I liked and others I didnt. I like the story of this comic. I think Todd McFarlane did a good job on most parts of the action in this comic. He went into good detail on how Calypso planned on taking down Spider Man. He went it to good detail. He explains the lizard as a blood thirsty killer and went into good detail about the blood splattered on the wall saying CNNR. I dont think he used the characters as good as he could though. What I mean by that is he only explained Mary Jane (MJ) as like a partier. I fell like she was kind of like a waist of a character in this comic. She really didnt do or say much just described her always being out with her friends having fun no action really. McFarlane also didnt really explain Peter Parkers character. Just how he was spider man and he had a watchful eye of the city. McFarlane did well on the illustrations of these comics but it was a little to cluttered for me. He had the illustrations in strips and it looked a little too close for me. His

Wood 5 illustrations with the comics confused me a little but dont get me wrong McFarlane is still a really good writer, he is very experienced with his writing and the company loves him. They love what he has dine fir them, McFarlane helped out with a lot of the comics that DC an Marvel published and are still publishing today.
