CASE # 9711829 SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT OFFENSE: HOMICIDE DATE OF OFFENSE: i0-23-97 DATE CONTACTED: (2-20-98 CONTACTED BY: PHONE { } PERSOW (x | NAME OF PERSON CONTACTED: Robert Witbolsfeugen On 02-20-98, at approximately 1000 hrs., Robert Witbolsfeugen contacted me at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Deparzment. At that time, Mr. Witbolsfeugen gave me a computer printout of a internet provider profile of a subject he believes to be a Deputy with the JCSD. The profile shows the subject to be a Deputy Sheriff with the possible badge number of 66. Mr. Witbolsfeugen stated, in late December 1997, he had a computer “chat” with the subject in which he believes the person to be conducting himself improperly, if that subject is a Deputy. Mr. Witboisfeugen gave me a brief acccunt of the “chat”, but 1 requested he provide me with a print of che conversation possible. Mr. Witbclsfeugen stated that after he terminated the “chat” he e-mailed the subject. The content of that mail will also be provided. According to Mr. Witholsfeugen he has made contact with 4 Deputy in the Blue Summit area when he was passing out flyers regarcing the homicides The license on the vehicle was “66”. Mr. Witbolsfeugen identified himself to the Deputy and gave him one of the flyers. I told Mr. Witbelsfeugen 1 would contact the Deputy with badge nunber 66 and make an inquiry. At approximately 1910 hrs., I made contact with Deputy D. Ebert. I asked Deputy Ebert if he recalled a “chat” with someone who stated he was a “ghost” or made reference to being the father of a murder victim, or, had a chat with anyone about a homicide investigation. Deputy Ebert informed me he had no recollection of the “chat”, at this time. Deputy Ebert is known ag Deputy 66 on the internet. I took this opportunity to advise Deputy Ebert that if he ever does have occasion to “chat” on the internet, he should avoid any department related matters. End of report. , BORE, #18
