Product Returns Amway accepts product return under two provisions of the Amway Sales & Marketing Plan: the "Satisfaction Guarantee" and the "Buy-Back Rule". The former is applicable to customers and the latter is applicable to Amway Distributors. The Amway "Satisfaction Guarantee" The Amway "Satisfaction Guarantee" covers sales made to customers and assures that consumers of Amway products will be satisfied with their purchases. The guarantee provides that, if for any reason a customer is not pleased with an Amway product purchased by him, the Distributor should offer to refund the customer the full purchase price, or to exchange another Amway product of equivalent value at no charge to the customer. The Satisfaction Guarantee period for customers is 30 days from the purchase date. The Distributor who sells a product chat is regarded by a customer as unsatisfactory is expected to honour the product and return it to his Upline Direct Distributor or Amway. An explanation must be set forth on the SA-112HK Returned Merchandise Authorization Form which accompanies the returned goods. The name and address of the customer should also be given for Product Marketing to gather suggestions for product improvement. Amway Privileged Customers also enjoy the 30-day Satisfaction Guarantee. Should a Privileged Customer decide a product is not satisfactory, he may return it to Amway. Amway will offer a refund of the full purchase price in the form of credit vouchers. If cash refund is required, the Privileged Customer must withdraw from his membership. Satisfaction Guarantee still applies even if che product is partly used. However, the guarantee does not apply if the product has been intentionally damaged or misused. The "Buy-Back Rule" Whereas "Satisfaction Guarantee" deals with consumer satisfaction, the "Buy-Back Rule" applies only to Distributors and cover situations in which a Distributor (1) decides to leave the business voluntarily or involuntarily, (2) has saleable products which he wishes to return, (3) is willing to pay the relevant bonuses previously received and (4) is willing to pay the cost of returning such products to Amway. If the departing Distributor has products to return, he is required to submit the saleable products to Amway with original receipt and SA- 112HK Returned Merchandise Authorization Form upon resignation of distributorship. If a Distributor wishes to return a product which carries a free gift or premium item, both the product and the premium must be presented for return. Amway has the right to deduct the cost of the missing premium from the product refund. The refund that the departing Distributor will receive is equivalent to the Distributor cost of the products at time of original purchase, less a 10% handling charge, any monthly, annual or other bonuses and premium (or equivalent amount) previously received. Normally, refund will be made within one to two months after receipt of required documents and products. Amway 8 Return Procedures and Rules The product return procedures are applicable to products sold in Hong Kong by Amway Hong Kong Limited (Amway Hong Kong). Distributors who wish to return products directly to Amway, under the provisions of Satisfaction Guarantee or Buy-Back Rule, should submit the SA-112HK Returned Merchandise Authorization Form which can be obtained at any Merchandising Centre. Amway reserves the right to accept product return for failure to fulfill any of the above requirements or without presentation of original receipt. Resignation of Distributorship or Privileged Customer Membership A Distributor who decides to leave his Amway business will receive the refund for the Starter Kit, including the ALIVE subscription fee, if he leaves the business within 12 months after his first application. This refund is made by cheque or through autopay to him in about three weeks after he submitted his written resignation and ADA Card to Amway. For Privileged Customers, product coupons equivalent to the value of joining fee ate offered and therefore no refund will be made upon resignation of membership. The policies regarding Satisfaction Guarantee, Buy-Back Rule and Resignation of Amway Distributorship or Privileged Customer Membership are set up to protect the interests of Amway Distributors, Privileged Customers and Customers.
