OBJECTIVE:

HEPATITIS G
Hepatitis G is a newly discovered form of liver inflammation caused by hepatitis G virus (HGV) A distant relative of the hepatitis C virus, the duration of the incubation period and range of symptom are also unknown and no vaccine is available.

DISCRIPTION:
Transmitted by infected blood or blood product. Sharing personal items contaminated with the virus. By vertical transmission (mother to baby). By various sexual activities. In patients undergoing hemodialysis. In IV drugs abuses

CAUSES:
HGV Virus which can cause severe liver damage resulting in liver damage.

DIAGNOSIS:
Method of detecting HGV is a complex and costly DNA that is not widely.

TREATMENT:
There is no specific treatment for any type of acute hepatitis Needs bed rest. Avoid alcohol . Sure to eat a balance diet.

PROGNOSIS:
ILLNESS IS MILD AND DOSE NOT LAST LONG WHEN PATIENTS HAVE BEEN FOLLOWED UP AFTER THE ACUTE PHASE ,IT WILL BECOME CLEAR WHETHER HGV CAN CAUSE SEVERE LIVER DAMAGE.

PREVENTION:
Avoid possible contact with contaminated blood. Drug users should not share needles , syrings or other equipment.
