Rep. Dovilla Praises State Income Tax Reduction for Hardworking Taxpayers $2.7 Billion in Tax Relief for Ohio Families and Businesses Takes Effect September 1st
COLUMBUS State Representative Mike Dovilla (RBerea) today released the following statement on the first stage of income tax relief enacted in House Bill 59, the states biennial operating budget. The tax reductions will begin on Sunday, September 1, 2013. As Ohioans honor the contributions of workers this Labor Day weekend, they can also celebrate the $2.7 billion of tax relief enacted by the legislature this summer. Ohios economy is recovering, and that progress is a direct result of our efforts to reduce taxes and streamline regulations, helping to restore a business-friendly environment for economic development and job creation. These tax reductions, which will be realized by all hardworking Ohioans, will help continue to improve our states competitiveness while placing families in greater control of their own money to invest, spend, and save. -30-
