SENIOR ASSOCIATE (SenAWeldI)

The grade of Senior Associate recognises significant welding related career progression in the absence of formal professional qualifications. It provides a visible demonstration of achievement for mature welding personnel.

Criteria
Applicants must meet all the requirements to qualify for admission to this grade.

1. Qualifications
Whilst no formal qualifications are required, due consideration will be paid to any awards gained.

2. Further Requirements
Applicants are expected to have been involved in welding/joining or allied activities for a period in excess of ten years Applicants must have held a senior position of responsibility in relation to welding/joining or allied activities for a period of not less than five years. You will also have responsibility for a number of subordinate staff. It is expected that all applicants maintain and enhance competence through documented Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Many TWI and Welding and Joining Society activities are recognised for CPD.

Assessment
Membership, Education and Registration Committee will review and assess all application documentation and the Professional Membership Office will inform applicant of outcome.
