    Public Window A person can submit the complaint/suggestion at Public Window, at Police Headquarters, Sector 9, Chandigarh or through fax No. 0172-2742096 from 9 AM to 5 PM or through e-mail police@chd.nic.in . Complaints received at Police Headquarters are entered in computer and a computerized receipt is given to complainant in each case. After receipt of complaint, the same is put up before the senior officers and thereafter, sent to the concerned unit for necessary action. Disposal period for general complaints is 15 days whereas 45 days in case of complaint related to Crime against Women or Economic offences. After enquiry into the complaint within stipulated period, the same is received back at Public window and put up before the concerned officers for final orders.
