At DraftStar, we offer football development programs that provide high performance coaching for young athletes aged 11 to 17. Our holistic programs are designed to improve boys and girls of all abilities on and off the field in an authentic AFL training environment. All of our programs are developed and run by past and present AFL players. Also,we are the only training organisation authorised to use AFL 60 testing protocols, and we link in with the AIS-AFL talent development team to ensure seamless integration into developmentpathways.

DraftStar Online is a totally new concept in high performance skills training. Its a web based football development program designed to help you achieve improvement in all aspects of your game. DraftStar Online gives you: The ability to access the very latest in elite level training and support anywhere, anytime. This means you can work on any aspect of your game literally in your own backyard at a time and pace that suits you. For a very low subscription fee, access to an introductory set of drills andhigh quality media to guide you through your development. The ability to totally customise your development program by adding new modules to your online package that are specific to your own trainingneeds.

Each DraftStar SkillMaster session is a 2 hour high performance session designed to polish your skills and keep you focused on your goals, whatever they may be. Likeall DraftStar programs, DraftStar Skillmaster is for athletes of all abilities and each session includes: Elite level skills and fitness development including drills and testing to benchmark your performance A core skill focus, for instance kicking or ball handling A special skill highlight inspired by the signature skill of a DraftStar ambassador for insight into an important element of the game. Skill highlights include speed, decision making, clean hands, agility, hardball gets and endurance A holistic approach, with a session on topics like leadership, nutrition, motivation and recovery A hot dinner by Dineamic, so you refuel the right way.

We run DraftStar Camps every school holidays around Australia. DraftStar Camp aims to improve you by focusing on five core areas: Elite level skills and fitness development: We are the only group authorised to conduct AFL standardised testing that can identify individual strengths and weaknesses. Elite level coaching techniques are then used to apply age appropriate strength, endurance and agility training to improve your performance. Football education: Match simulation activities and classroom sessions combine to increase ability to maximise player positions and understand game structure. Character and leadership development: These are top of the list for AFL recruiters. DraftStar Camps have sessions on motivation, goal setting, teamwork, along with media training and tips on getting recruited.

TheDraftStar Academy Program is a holistic junior football development program designed to help youimprove in football and in life. Our program runs over a 12-month period incorporating a structured, personalised development plan that gives you a clear understanding of your fitness and skill levels and apathway to reach your potential. The DraftStar Academy Program includes: Attendance at DraftStar Camp. At home training program to keep you focused on your goals. Team kit including over $350 worth of DraftStar merchandise. Mentoring from DraftStar coaches and current AFL players. Fun, and lots of it. DRAFTSTAR TIM WATSON SCHOLARSHIP

If you are an aspiring young footballer with ambitions to play elite level football then you should apply for the DraftStar Tim Watson Scholarship. This exclusive program provides places for 20 young footballers in the DraftStar Academy, with access to mentors and guidance in creating a pathway to reach your potential. Apanel of judges that includes former AFL greats Danny Frawley, Jason Dunstall, Ben Dixon and Robbie Campbell assess skill, athletic ability, game sense, leadership qualities and attitude before awarding the best young athletes entry into the exclusive Scholarship Program. Selection trials are held annually in November.

DRAFTSTAR COMBINE.
HAVE YOU GOT WHAT IT TAKES?
Available to footballers aged 18 years and over, the DraftStar Combine gives young footballers with ambitions to be drafted by an AFL club the opportunity to get on the AFLs radar. The DraftStar Combine is a full day of testing which replicates the official NAB AFL Draft Combine testing regime. We are the only group authorised to conduct the AFL 60 tests for speed, agility, and endurance, along with clean hands and kicking tests. The best 180 scores from the DraftStar Combine are forwarded to the AFL clubs. In 2011, 18-year-old Lin Jong participated in the DraftStar Combine as a result, he was drafted by the Western Bulldogs at Pick #9 in the Rookie Draft. The DraftStar Combine is held each October.

DRAFTSTAR JUNIOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENTPROGRAM

DraftStar, together with registered training organisation Smart Connection, offer a career oriented junior leadership development program. Participants will receive a nationally recognised training qualification (Certificate 1 in Vocation Preparation). The program provides education about the requirements for a career inthe sport, recreation, fitness or football industry. Topics covered include: Preparing for learning and career development in the sports industry Working safely Study skills to maximise outcomes Effective volunteering to secure a job; and Practical placement. The program is supplemented with practical football skills ensuring participants simultaneously improve their prospects on and off the field.

I have always loved my footy and growing up playing footy with my junior club Flinders Park I trained hard and learned a lot from my coaches. When I enrolled in a DraftStar program things just went to a whole new level, I learnt things about my footy and myself that I never knew. They helped me out of a few bad habits Id developed and I was surprised how much gets packed into a few days. After participating in a DraftStar program I was picked up by Woodville-West Torrens, captained the South Australian U18s team and Im now proudly wearing number 5 for the Melbourne Demons. This program is highly recommended for young people that love their footy. Dont think this is just about helping guys play better and increasing their chance of playing at high levels, or getting drafted later on. What is more important is that this is about leadership, teamwork, setting and working towards goals, and respect for others. It is about character and learning to keep going through difficulties and in unfamiliar environments, while pursuing something that matters to you. Those are traits and life skills that apply to much more than just footy. I commend the DraftStar team for what they have been developing. It has been great the difference the camp has made to the boys who attended. Both my boys have played beyond the level they would normally achieve. James has had 3 blinding games, getting BOG in all games this year (he played 2 games the day after the camp) and Darcy has been in the top 4 in his games. James has set goals for both footy and school (in that order) and the boys have been running the drills they were taught with the other kids at training. My involvement in DraftStar has had a huge impact on me as a person and as a football player.
