A Battle To Be Lost

The warriors of Swindson were outnumbered. The enemies had passed the boundary that divided the two villages. The other village had rejected the treaty the people of Swindson had offered. The week before, the chief of the other village had inquired about the creation of a new agreement that would create peace. The chief of Swindson thought that this reasonable agreement would unite the two villages. However, the chief of Marbleston, the other village, had lied. Now the warriors from Marbleston were advancing on the Swindson warriors. The Marbleston warriors were impressively well skilled and trained. The warriors of Swindson were unfortunately, less skilled and definitely incapable of defeating the other warriors. The air was frigid as the warriors prepared for battle. Suddenly, a loud cry erupted with the single chant of, War! The war had begun.
