MEDICAID EXPANSION RESOLUTION Passed August 5th, 2013 by the St.

Clair County Republican Party Executive Committee IT IS THE SENSE of the St. Clair County Republican Party that Republican principles are not faithfully represented by HB 4714 (Sub H-3). WHEREAS, the passage and implementation of House Bill 4714 (Substitute H-3) (HB 4714) is not consistent with the conservative values published in the 2012 Republican Platform, which states that Republicans will work to repeal Public Law 111148, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) in all of its forms. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the St. Clair County Republican Party hereby requests that our Republican representation in the Michigan House and Senate, vote NO on HB 4714 Sub H-3, or any other legislation pertaining to an expansion of state Medicaid eligibility and funding, or the implementation and funding of any Health Care Exchange associated with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act within this great State of Michigan. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the St. Clair County Republican Party hereby agrees that this legislation should not garner the support of the Michigan Republican Party or our legislators and authorizes the Secretary to forward this resolution to the named elected officials. cc: Chairman, Robert Schostak, Michigan Republican Party Governor, Rick Snyder Representative Andrea LaFontaine, 32nd District Representative Paul Muxlow, 83rd District Representative Dan Lauwers, 81st District Senator Phil Pavlov, 25th District 10th District Executive Committee
