Dear IGD Students, All IGD groups need to submit a written report on their group presentation.

Please find below some general guidelines regarding the report. Written Report Submission Guidelines Report Structure1 As with most other writing formats, reports should have an introduction, a body, and a conclusion. However, many reports may have all or some of the following sections: 1. Title page 2. Acknowledgements, if any 3. Abstract or Summary: - is often written after the rest of the report is finished, but is usually read first - gives us the bare facts of the report including the findings and the conclusions - is typically very short 4. Table of contents, which includes: - lists the sections and sub-sections and page numbers - provides a list of diagrams, tables and appendices (if used) 5. Introduction 6. Main body including literature review 7. Limitations, Conclusion, and Recommendations 8. Bibliography or List of References 9. Appendix, if any Formatting the Body of the Report All margins: 1 Font type and size: Times New Roman is the recommended font type. Type must be consistent throughout. The title of the paper on the title page appears in 14-point font. Font size for text should be 12-point. Sectional headings (e.g. Introduction, Conclusion) may be included within the paper. These should be center-blocked in 12-point font. Page numbers: All pages should be included in a continuous numeration. The title page is page 1, but it does not include a page number. Page numbers appear beginning with the first page of the main body. Page numbers appear in the lower right-hand corner of the paper. Spacing: Text is double-spaced throughout the main body. Captions for figures, tables or examples are single-spaced. The Bibliography or List of References are single-spaced within entries and double-spaced between entries.
