    Simile- comparison between two different things, using like or as. o Example: As white as a sheet, or Mr. Bliznik is like a bald eagle; strong with a white head. Metaphor- comparison expresses something about a person. o Example: Mr. Scheib is a snake. Personification- placing human qualities on non-human things. o Example: Each leaf in the tree waved goodbye. The tree groaned in anger!
