may shoot me with your words, may cut me with your eyes, may kill me with your hatefulness, still, like air, Ill rise. ! - Still I Rise, Maya Angelou
Dont be afraid, he said. Everything will be all right.... It will hurt a little, but it will pass. Be brave. ! - Night, pg. 79, Elie Wiesel
Explanation
!
! Hope makes you strong. According to Marcus Circero, While theres life, there is hope. It makes you continue to live on during hardships in life. Practicing hope was evident in Elie Wiesels Night. Its about a Jewish boy named Eliezer, who suffered so much in the concentration camp. Anyhow, they showed hope by singing. There was one person who kept singing while they were on their way to the camp. Eliezer managed to stay alive, and ght against death to see his family again. On the other hand, Maya Angelous Still I Rise expressed that no matter what brings you down, you still have to rise. You may kill me with your hatefulness, but still, like air, Ill rise. Haters gonna hate, if anything is thrown against you, you need to get back up. However, some people give up because theyre tired or they lose their faith in God. People should not give up. Hope and faith keeps you going.
