Assembly Drawing You will learn to: 9 create a 2D assembly drawing 9 incorporate an exploded view into an assembly drawing, and 9 generate a Bill of Materials (BOM).

Creating an Assembly Drawing Open the assembly file Sliding brace assembly.sldasm. Make sure that the assembly is in the collapsed configuration OK to accept the Drawing Template
2D Assembly Drawing In the new drawing window, select the Standard 3 View, and make sure it is in Third angle projection
Adding an Exploded View Select the Model View Tool from Drawings group
1 Right click the Trimetric View and Select Properties Check the box

Creating a Bill of Materials Select any of the drawing views From the main menu, select Insert: Tables: Bill of Materials Accept the default selections

Bill of Materials
The drawing is almost complete, but the item numbers in the Bill of Materials are not linked with the components in the drawing. We will add balloons with part numbers to the drawing.

AutoBalloons Select the exploded Trimetric Views. Select the AutoBalloons Tool from the Annotations group of the CommandManager.
