You will learn to:

Use a wide variety of texts including extracts from newspapers, magazines, academic and non-literary material. Focus on exam tasks of multiple matching and gapped texts. Write both formally and informally letters, reviews, reports, brochures articles and essays. Transcribe from formal to informal and vice versa. Understand a wider variety of listening texts, including announcements, radio broadcasts, telephone messages, talks, lectures, interviews and meetings featuring a mixture of native and non-native speakers. Discuss, agree, disagree, agree to disagree, use language of approximation, comparing and contrasting, giving opinions and problem solving. You will be able to use formal, informal and colloquial language and use idioms associated with the English language. Review of all previously learned grammar and extend with exceptions to grammatical rules. Science and medicine, competitive sports, leisure activities, business, idiomatic language, current affairs, environmental issues. Poetry. EXAM FOCUS practice texts.
