    THE SUGAR CANE HOLOCAUST The article is about the problem of the Brazils ethanol exportation from the

    academic road-show. They export clean and sustainable energy for cars. But, in the other hand, it has really big problems with the environment, and the society. This article was based in the testimony of Tiago Thorlby, who is a priest. He said in the article that some problems of the Brazils ethanol exportation produce serious problems, not only in the natural environment, but it is also a social problem, because hundreds of thousands of families are evicted from their lands because they live in the canefield. It is a big problem, environmentally devastating, culturally genocidal, socially exclusive, politically retrograde and economically unviable. The workers have a very few benefits, they leaves their favela homes in the dormitory towns from 3 or 4 AM to set off to work, returning from 5 to 6 PM. The academic road-show that tours around the world say that the workers of the sugar cane are well treated, with all the benefits and conditions that any worker deserve. The environmental problem with the Brazils ethanol exportation is that they devastate the biodiversity, the insects, fishes, streams, the woods, the animals, the skies. They invade the forest, poisoning the rivers with the contamination that the production of the clean ethanol produces. In a part of the article, the author says that the environmental groups do not do anything because they are enlisted to green wash the ethanol program. Those environmental groups say that the forest is being preserved or the natural environment is very well preservated, but the only vegetation that you can see is just cane. The author says that there are no advantages to agro-fuel because the consequences of this production are devastating. As a result, the Brazils ethanol exportation has very negative consequences in the environment, and in the people, because it contaminates the environment, the fauna, rivers, forest, and ski. And on the other hand the treat with the workers is deficient.
