In Revelation we read: And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the Sun was smitten, and the third part of the Moon, and the third part of the stars; that the third part of them should be darkened, and the day should not shine for the third part of it, and the night in like manner. Revelation 8:12 What happens when the Sun does not shine for this third part of the day? What happens when the Moon and stars do not shine for this third part of the night? Is it, in each case, a four hour period of limboneither day nor night? I do not think so. We are told YHWH has made a covenant of the day and of the night and that they would not cease in their season: 20 Thus says YHWH: If you can break My covenant of the day, and My covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season; 21 then may also My covenant be broken with David My servant, that he shall not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, My ministers. 22 As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the seed of David My servant, and the Levites that minister unto Me. 23 And the Word of YHWH came to Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah, saying, 24 Do you not consider what this people has spoken, saying, The two families which YHWH did choose, He has cast them off? Thus do they despise My people, that they should be no more a nation

before them. 25 Thus says YHWH: If My covenant of day and night stand not, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; 26 then will I also cast away the seed of Yaacob, and of David My servant, so that I will not take of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Yitschak, and Yaacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and will have mercy on them. Jeremiah 33:20-26 The covenant of the day and of the night is the Word of YHWH and so reveals the surety of His never ending chesed/lovingkindness on the descendants of Abraham, Yitschak, and Yaacob to 1000 generations! Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 105:8-9 We know that this covenant (of day and night) was given immediately after the Flood: While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22

All this was a necessary preface to answer the following:

What are we to think of the time to come when the day will not shine for a third part of it, and the night likewise will not shine for a third of it? Revelation 8:12

Based on the covenant of day and night, it cannot be, in each case, a four-hour period of limbo. The only

conclusion I can draw, presently, is that when it is not day, it will then be night; and when it is not night, it will then be day. This means the days will be literally shortened by 8 hours (since 8 is one-third of 24). And this implies an earth rotating even faster than it already does.

What immense cataclysm will bring this about? Can you picture the Earth, like a basketball, spinning on someones finger? The person doing this then hits the ball with a glancing blow (in the same direction it is already spinning) and it spins that much faster. Most everyone will have seen this somewhat entertaining event.

Yet it could happen in this very same manner with the Earth: Space objects are traveling at a rate of 20,000 40,000+ miles per hour. Imagine if the Earth gets hit with a glancing, angular, indirect blow by such an object (or objects) and it/they accelerate the Earths rotation in the very same direction we are already spinning. Via this faster rotation, the days will become 16 hours long instead of 24. I believe this is what the Messiah meant when He spoke of the days being shortened:

And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elects sake those days shall be shortened. Matthew 24:22

Some people would have us to think that YHWH so lacks in His sovereign power and foreknowledge that He will see man is about to push the nuclear buttons and step in to stop the whole process, that He will cut short the days that He had originally planned to span some considerably longer period of time. But the Most High does all things according to His foreordained timetable and He will not be caught off guard by mans evil devices and vain schemes. It is His literal shortening of the days that will render useless all of the mans modern, technological devices of war that we would have otherwise used to obliterate the human race.

Primitive Weapons of War at the Messiahs Return The Spirit appears to be revealing the level of the cataclysms and shaking will be so extreme, so far-reaching, and so devastating that all of mans modern weapons of war will be rendered null and void. Through Yeshayahu/Isaiah, YHWH has said: Cease from man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils; for wherein is he to be accounted of? Isaiah 2:22 If the air raid sirens went off in the USA today, and all knew we were under a nuclear attack from Russia, the profane and disobedient people would be cursing the Russians, not the Most High. Yet in Revelation, we read that the rebellious are cursing the Most High for all the plagues falling upon them. In the coming cataclysms, YHWH is going to put man in his place, as we say. And through the preaching of the Good

News, all will know these are judgments from Above. Multitudes will repent, but far more will be hardened and rage against YHWH and against His Messiah. Psalm 2:1-3 And part of the wonders which YHWH will work in the heavens and the Earth will be to shorten the days. These apocalyptic events are going to be so powerful they will completely destroy mans capabilities for fighting a modern day war. Many prophecies of the end relay this very concept: We only see primitive weaponry mentioned at the time of the Messianic Kingdom being established: 8 Come, behold the works of YHWH, what desolations He has made in the earth. 9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the Earth; he breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in sunder; he burns the chariot in the fire. 10 Be still, and know that I am Elohim: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:8-10

1 In Judah is Elohim known: His Name is great in Yisrael. 2 In Salem also is His tabernacle, and His dwelling place in Tziyon. 3 There He broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle-ax. Selah. 4 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. 5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 At Your rebuke, Elohim of Yaacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep. 7 You, even You, are to be feared: and who may stand in Your sight when once You are angry?[1] 8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, 9 When Elohim arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah. 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise You: the remainder of wrath shall You restrain. 11 Vow, and pay to YHWH your Elohim: let all that are round about Him bring presents to Him that ought to be feared. 12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: He is terrible to the kings of the earth. Psalm 76:1-12

21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Yahudah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the earth; 22 And I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms, and I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathen; and I will overthrow the chariots, and those that ride in them; and the horses and their riders shall come down, every one by the sword of his brother. Haggai 2:21-22

1 Ask of YHWH rain in the time of the latter rain; YHWH will make lightnings, and He will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field. 2 For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams: they comfort in vain. Therefore they have gone away as a flock, they are in distress, because there is no shepherd. 3 My anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the he-goats; for YHWH of hosts visits His flock, the house of Yahudah, and makes them as His majestic horse in the battle. 4 From him shall come forth the cornerstone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every exactor together. 5 And they shall be as mighty men, treading down the mire of the streets in the battle; and they shall fight, for YHWH is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame. Zecharyah 10:1-5

And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days Daniel 11:33 He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:10

And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. Revelation 18:13

17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great Elohim; 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. Revelation 19:17-19

Yet His people long for the days when even these ancient weapons of war are to put to a different use: 2 And it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of the House of YHWH shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3 And many peoples shall go and say, Come you, and let us go up to the mountain of YHWH, to the house of the Elohim of Yaacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for out of Tziyon shall go forth the Torah, and the Word of YHWH from Yerushalayim. 4 And He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. Isaiah 2:2-4
