McCulley Time of Completion: Abstract: This project describes the analysis and development of a prototype Intranet for the Division of Land Management in the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. An Intranet is an internal organization-wide network based on Internet technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, browsers and web servers). The prototype Intranet was designed to facilitate the sharing of information among 100+ field offices across the state. The preliminary results of the implementation of the Intranet seem to indicate that cost savings and increased accessibility to accurate and timely information have resulted since the implementation of the working prototype.
