(Walnut Hills) Roxanne Qualls has raised $348,000 in her bid to be Cincinnatis next mayor and has a cash-on-hand balance approaching $200,000. More than 1,100 individual donors contributed $211,829 in the first half of 2013 to Citizens for Qualls. The average donation was $167 per individual with 98% of the donors living in the greater Cincinnati area. Neighborhood supporters have hosted nearly 50 house parties or events, in recent months, to demonstrate their commitment to Roxanne. I am grateful and humbled by the tremendous showing of support from our neighborhood communities, Qualls said. Campaign manager Jens Sutmoller said the fundraising pace is picking up as the race moves toward the September 10 primary. Mayoral candidate committees must report to the Hamilton County Board of Election and theCincinnati Election Commission their 2013 semi-annual report by July 31, 2013. ###
