Armin: [internally, holding back tears] Crap! How can I look her in the face? I don't even deserve to be alive. If I knew it'd come to this I should've just died with him! *Mikasa approaches* Mikasa: Armin, are you hurt? Feeling okay? *Armin nods* Mikasa: Where's Eren? *Armin clenches his teeth as a tear rolls down his cheek* Armin? *Armin looks up at Mikasa, tears running down his face as he sobs* Armin: [between sobs, crying] Our unit The 34th cadet unit Thomas Wagner. Nic Tius. Mylius Zeramuski. Mina Carolina. (somewhat more dramatic than the other names) Eren Jaeger. All five of them have fulfilled their duty and died heroic deaths in battle! *some of the other soldiers make little comments here and there in the background* Armin: [still sobbing] I'm sorry, Mikasa. Eren died in my stead I couldn't do anything! I'm so sorry! --(Episode 10, Armin is about to give a speech to protect Eren's life)

Armin: [inner thoughts] The two people I trust more than anyone in the world want to entrust their lives to me. What more evidence could I possibly need? *Armin straightens himself* Armin: (to Eren and Mikasa) I'll convince them. Do your best to show them you don't intend to resist. *They both nod*

Armin: *heading outside the smoke* [inner thoughts] Something's been troubling me ever since I saw Eren fight as a Titan. I haven't even sorted out my own thoughts yet, but I've got to do this. I'll have to think while I speak! *Armin detaches his 3DMG from his body, followed by audible gasps from the nearby soldiers. Armin jumps out of the smoke* Kitts Verman: Stop! *Armin stops as he exits the smoke, his hands up* Kitts Verman: You finally showed your true colors, monster! I'll signal! I'll signal the cannon! Armin: He isn't the enemy of mankind! We're willing to share all the intelligence we've gathered! Kitts Verman: Begging for your lives is useless now! He revealed his true form right in front of us! There's nothing left to say! If you say he's not an enemy, prove it! If you can't do that, I will eliminate the threat! Armin: [shouting] There's no need for further proof! [internally] That's right! It's unnecessary! [shouting again] The issue isn't how we see him! Kitts Verman: What?! Armin: You said everybody saw him! Then they must've seen him fighting the Titans too! And they must've seen all the Titans ganging up against him! The titans see him as prey, just like the rest of mankind! Nothing you say can change that fact! *murmuring among the soldiers* Kitts Verman: [confused, scared, yet frantic] Prepare to attack! Don't fall for this clever trap! Their actions have always been beyond our comprehension! If they can transform into humans and speak our language, that's just another way for them to fool us! We can't let them do as they please! Armin: [internally, shocked] No good He's stopped thinking entirely He's too scared to think Eren! Mikasa! *Armin looks back at his friends; Eren nods at him with confidence; Armin turns back around and makes the best fucking salute you'll ever lay your eyes on* Armin: [basically screaming] As a soldier, I swore to devote my heart to the resurrection of mankind! There is no greater glory than dying for that belief! If we added his Titan power to the might of our armies, it might even be possible to recapture the town! For the glory of the human race, I beg you! In my final moments before I die, permit me to explain his strategic importance!!!
