PROBABLE CAUSE STATEMENT

DATE: July 25, 2013 I, Louis Naes, knowing that false statements on this form are punishable by law, state that the facts contained herein are true. 1. I have probable cause to believe that Adrienne K Martin, a Black Female DOB: XX/XX/77 Age: 35, committed one or more criminal offense(s). Count 1: ANIMAL ABUSE (Class D FELONY) RSMo 578.012 FROM 7/9/2013 TO 7/10/2013 Place: 43XX COTE BRILLIANTE AVE (SCC 36545) Count 2: Knowingly Burning Or Exploding (Class D FELONY) RSMo 569.055 FROM 7/9/2013 TO 7/10/2013 Place: 43XX COTE BRILLIANTE AVE 2. The facts supporting this belief are as follows: I was informed by witness T.B. that he observed flames emanating from the backyard at 43XX Cote Brilliante. He observed the defendant and a male standing at the source of the flames. The male was holding a gas can and the defendant was holding a lighter. Witness T.B. ran to the above location and observed several high flames emanating from a bush, the ground, and the pitbull mix that was tied to the fence on a four foot leash. As he approached the defendant and male ran. T.B. gave me a description of the defendant and positively identified her in a photo line-up. When I arrived on scene I observed damage to the bush and ground. The pitbull sustained severe burns all over his body and died on July 12, 2013 from the burns. The defendant informed me that her sister, Tr. B., owns the pitbull mix and that the day before this incident the dog bit the defendants son. Her son had to go to the hospital. The defendant originally denied any responsibility. However, the defendant eventually admitted to me that she was responsible for the fire. In researching the defendant on Facebook, I observed the following postings: July 9: Im on killa mode.#killdogs.com..today..
