While Dust seems a little speedier, you lose (slightly) on battery life. I flashed both Cake 0.

9 and 1.4 under WildChild 3.3 and have had nothing but joy on both of those. I also notice that Cake 0.9 goes into Deep Sleep quite easily so, in theory, it would be a great kernel for those concerned about battery drain. Set your CPU to Scary, with a Min/Max of 245/768, and sio (or noop) scheduler and your battery should last a long time. If need be, fully charge (using wall outlet) and then reset battery stats from within recovery menu. Also, follow the standard battery-saving tips (some of which I outline in Post #1) such as disable replication if not needed, use Startup Manager and kill Titanium scheduler, Maps, and other rarely used services, etc.

Don't know if dust is better performance wise. I've seen dust probably 8.9 can run 825-200 where as cake .9 can run 820-122. So for this 5 extra oc I had to sacrifice 122 that is -78 to sacrifice. So my financial model says cake is more feasible. For some games I need the dust or cake kernel as disciplx or others will just hang! So as a wise financier I'd say go with cake v.9 don't hesitate if ur phone can handle that much oc(I heard some wfs can't oc past 800, such a pity). I also think sio is better than noop as sio never crash or hang with smartassV2.

I've been advocating sio when everyone else was still touting deadline (and noop, to some extent). Each scheduler has its own place and time, but sio will give the best all-round performance (especially in the SD department). And yes, as far as a smooth performing governor is concerned, I'm all over smartassV2. I've got shortcut links on my desktop to quickly switch between smartassv2 and scary. The reason I initially released DCPLX1 as the kernel for WC3.3 is because it offered the Conservative governor, which I was growing quite fond of (for battery life only... for performance it's quite laggy). If I had to give a one-sentence summary, I'd say that Cake v0.9 is the best all-round kernel for day-to-day use for 99% of WFS users out there. But, since most people are impressed with high Antutu scores (for some reason) I put Dust 9.0 as the default kernel, and then leave it up to you to swap out whichever kernel you prefer.
