Meet the Teacher

Hello Kindergarteners! My name is Mrs. Crowder and I am so excited to be your teacher. This is my first year as an OKeeffe Cougar and I cant wait to learn with you all! I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 2010 with a bachelor in Elementary Education. I just recently earned my Masters in Urban Education from National Louis University in 2013. Before accepting this job I spent a year teaching overseas in South Korea, being a youth program coordinator in Minnesota, and a resident through AUSL. Teaching has always been very near and dear to my heart. I have a love for learning and I hope that my students will learn to love learning too! By making my classroom a safe, fun, and disciplined place for my students, I hope that they will enjoy coming to my classroom and learning something new everyday. This year not only will your child learn their ABCs and 1,2,3s they will also learn how to READ while making new classroom friends! I believe that a successful year starts and ends with open communication between parents and teachers.
