COSTA RICA DRINK

THE RUM IN THIS DRINK IS OPTIONAL, but compliments the chocolate and banana beautifully.

2-3 Servings INGREDIENTS / BASIC CHOCOLATE MILK: This Recipe is simple and delicious. We are never too old to enjoy a glass of chocolate milk. Ingredients to make basic syrup: 2 tablespoons water 2 tablespoons (25g) sugar 2 /3 cups (400ml) Milk 2 tablespoons syrup 2.5oz (70g) LINDT Bittersweet Chocolate, chopped
Add a cup of chocolate ice cream per cup of liquid and blend. Now you have a Costa Rica milk shake.

Method: Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to boil, when sugar is dissolved remove from heat. Set aside. Heat the milk and syrup to 122-140 F (50-60 C) and add the chopped chocolate. Whisk until chocolate is melted. Refrigerate until chilled. INGREDIENTS / COSTA RICA DRINK: 1 Recipe of Basic Chocolate Milk using LINDT Bittersweet dark chocolate 1 medium ripe banana (100g), peeled and sliced 2 tablespoons of white rum (optional) Method: Prepare Basic Chocolate Milk as directed and chill. Prior to serving, chocolate milk and banana in a blender until smooth. Add the rum if desired. Serve in chilled glasses.
