Slatki chili umak originalni recept za 230ml umaka 2 svjee crvene ljute papriice 1 mala suha ljuta papriica

3 velika renja enjaka 100g bijelog eera 180ml vode 60ml alkoholnog octa 1/2 lice soli 1 lica soja umaka 1 liica ribljeg umaka (fish sauce) 1 lica krobnog brana 2 lice vode

Ljutu papriicu prereite po duini i oistite od sjemenki. Ako volite ekstra ljuto, ostavite sjemenke. enjak ogulite i zajedno sa papriicama stavite u blender. Dodajte ocat, eer i sol te ispasirajte. Smjesu ulijte u manju posudu, dodajte vodu, soja umak i riblji umak te kuhajte na srednje jakoj vatri dok komadii papriice i enjaka ne omekaju (4-5 minuta). krobno brano pomijeajte sa svije lice vode pa dobivenu smjesu dodajte chili umaku. Kuhajte uz stalno mijeanje nekoliko minuta, dok se umak lagano ne zgusne. Maknite s vatre i ostavite da se ohladi na sobnoj temperaturi. Potom ulijte u istu staklenku, zatvorite i stavite u hladnjak. Dobro zatvoren, umak moe stajati tjednima. Slatki chili umak upotrijebite kao dodatak raznim azijskim ili egzotinim jelima ili kao umak za meso i povre.

Sweet Chili Sauce original recipe makes 230 ml 2 red hot chili peppers 3 large cloves of garlic 100g white sugar 180 ml water 60 ml white vinegar 1/2 tbsp. salt splash of soy sauce 1 tsp. fish sauce 1 tbsp. cornstarch 2 tbsp. water Cut the chili peppers in half and remove seeds. If you like it extra hot, keeps the seeds. Peel the garlic cloves and put them in a blender. Add chili peppers, vinegar, salt and sugar and puree. Pour the mixture into a saucepan, add water, soy sauce and fish sauce. Put the saucepan onto medium-high heat and cook until garlic and chili pieces are soft (4-5 minutes). Combine the cornstarch and two tablespoons of water. Whisk the mixture into the chili sauce and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens a bit. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature. Transfer to a clean jar, close the lid and refrigerate. This sauce keeps for a few weeks. Sweet chili sauce can be used in many asian or exotic dishes or as a dipping sauce for meat and vegetables.
