Dear Dr Lenin,
‘The President of the European Commission, Mr José Manuel Barroso, has asked me to thank
you for your e-mail of 24 March requesting a blessing message for the inaugural session of
the national consultation "testimony to improve psychosocial wellbeing and promote
advocacy for survivor of torture and organized crime" held in New Dehli on 16 April.
Unfortunately Mr Barroso was not able to send an inaugural message on this occasion.
However, the European Commission strongly supports the fight against torture and the
rehabilitation of torture victims.
Should you wish to learn more about the Commission activities on the fight against torture
and on the rehabilitation of torture victims, please visit the _ website:

For any future correspondence on this matter, please address yourself directly to the
delegation of the European Commission in New Delhi, which is closely following the
developments in India at local and regional levels.
‘We wish every success for the continuation of your project.
Yours sincerely,
Yo. A Co
