After Reading/Learning: Students will synthesize the information from the textbook chapter into their graphic organizer

and into their RAFT. Walk around the room periodically and observe students who seem to have trouble, answer student questions, work with those students at the back of the room who have reading difficulties, etc. **TEACHER NOTE: Students will have different timings in terms of when they finish their reading and start on their writing. Once students finish reading the chapter (During Reading), they will work on filling in at least three facts in their graphic organizer and create their RAFT writing piece based on their organizer (After Reading). Students have the rest of the class period to read and write; while students are working independently, write down the homework (below) on the whiteboard.
