As part of the Department of Justice's investigation of the above-referenced matters, we
‘will be in Greensboro on April 27-May 1, 2009, to speak with persons having knowledge of the

meetings. If you are not inclined to do so, however, we hereby request your permission to speak
to any former GPD employec who was at a supervisory level, or who bad direct involvement in
any of the matters giving rise to the above-listed EEOC charges outside of your presence. Please
‘express your agreement or non-agreement to this request, in writing, as soon as possible.
Finally, during our phone conversation on March 17, 2009, you tentatively agreed to
allow the Department access to all Internal Affairs files in your possession for our inspection and
Teview. We would like to arrange to review those files (including audio tapes) in the coming
‘weeks, beginning on April 27, 2009. In addition, as to the alleged sexual assault that precipitated
the creation of the “Black Book,” we request a copy of any records, such as any computer
assisted dispatch reports, that relate to the underlying complaint.
