befoddoreven ‘To Whom It May Concem: Gavin Harper has been in my employment for the past 9 months on a parttime basis, during which time | have always found him to be totally rellable and conscientious. He has fulfiled many different tasks proving to be a versatile and adaptable employee. When he joined the company he ran our Teletext service at weekends and during his holidays; this entailed manipulating mathematical data as well as designing and programming the pages themselves. During this time we discovered that Gavin was apt at fixing anything that went wrong in the office from shredders to Hoovers, Gavin's extensive knowledge of |.T. and emergent technology has proved invaluable. He has maintained and run our Local Area Network of 12 computers, he has gone above ‘and beyond what he initially came to do by taking on such responsibilities as repairing any faults with the workstations (in one instance bullding a custom power supply - when an off the shelf item was not readlly available for the job), installing new hardware and software, suggesting and implementing solutions to our |.T. problems, also he managed the installation of a maii-server saving the company many thousands of pounds over some quotes given by local I fims. During this time he forged good relationships with our suppliers securing discounts on products, and has politely dealt with customers and members of the public over the telephone building up a good rapport. He has gone out of his way to help me during times when the job needed to be done: yesterday; he set up my laptop to access the intemet through my mobile phone the day before | was due to go on holiday at short notice. Instances like this gives me full confidence in recommending for any future position that he may pursue. Gavin can be relied on. He is a dependable worker who has demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness in the course of his duties. I have always found him to be very popular amongst my staff, which | believe is due to his friendly attitude and the fact he is always ready to go the extra mile and assist his colleagues.
