The Endocrine system

It plays an important role in Homeostasis and controlling various other activities in the body by secreting the hormones .They are the ductless glands becoz the hormones secreted by them are released directly into blood then they are transported by blood to target organs and actions are executed. they are as follows.

Anterior Pituitary = 1 Growth Hormone 2Thyroid stimulating hormone 3Adrenocorticotrophic hormone 4Follicle stimulating hormone 5Luiteinizing hormone 6Prolactin

Posterior Pituitary hormone= 1Antidiuretic hormone(ADH) 2Oxytocin

Thyroid gland= 1 Thyroxine(T4) 2 Triiodothyronine

Pancreas = 1Insulin 2Glucagon 3Somatostatin
