Our Mission
Teach One Academy is focused on providing our students with the necessary social, educational, physical, and emotional tools to succeed as visionaries and leaders of our communities. We believe Knowledge of Self is a key component to developing well rounded decision makers and positive role models. Through our comprehensive program, our primary goals are to minimize the rates of juvenile incarceration, gang violence, teenage pregnancy, and substance and alcohol abuse while increasing the graduation rate within the communities we serve.

We have a staff of committed professionals and State Certified Teachers dedicated to working with our students as groups or on a one-on-one basis. They take an active role in the individualized plans established for each student. Our recruitment process is quite rigorous in that our staff of professionals are chosen based on several criteria including: Leadership and mentoring qualities Passionate about teaching Prior teaching experience Ability to develop leaders Ability to see beyond the surface

We provide a diverse curriculum through our Learning Center and Multiple Pathways to Graduation & Professional Development programs. Teach One Academy strives to create a culture that encourages a safe and nurturing environment as well as successful persistence through the educational pipeline. Academic progress and classroom behaviors are closely monitored through regular advising sessions with students as well as meetings with school staff, the monitoring of progress reports and report cards, and the tracking of student data. A wide range of benefits are commonly associated with our program activities, including overall well-being and stress management; emotional well-being and social interactions; and increased cognitive functions and learning.
