Short View: Crisis Diplomacy and Its importance in Foreign Affairs LONG KimKhorn, MA.

IRs, 61283, PUC, Cambodia June 10, 2013 Time changes bringing more advanced technology development into any corner of the world and every subject of the sciences one among these is diplomacy. The first crisis diplomacy occurred in 1970s regarding to Turkey invasion to Cyprus that in the meantime Ghalahan, British Foreign Minister, called by phone to many stakeholders and concerned parties to follow up the case that immediately lead to war between Greece and Turkey. Other example was hot-line between the Washington and 10Downing Street. By telephone, Tele mean far in Greece as new technological device came to replace old way of communication death letter sending from the state to another. Then, telephone contributed a lot for the conflict-parties leaders to solve the diplomatic crisis in time. Second, radio, TV, internet broadcast used as secondary mean to solve diplomatic crisis such as by sending living letter via email and broadcasting the political stance of the country via radio and TV such as Radio Free Asia, Voice of America, BBC, CNN so on and so forth. Third, a limited way of communication is video-conferencing that can gather the group of leaders or statesman or diplomat from all over the world to address any specific conflict in the region or international level. Finally, routine diplomacy that leaders can issue the statement and address speech to a specific problem to clarify stance and intention to the others concerning group. In conclusion, new technology development contributes very much to address diplomatic crisis that happened and happening every time around the world effectively to some extent by so far.
