Camp Manyung
Chapter 1 Bus trip When we arrived at school on Wednesday we had to go to camp. I said goodbye to my mum and walked to my class room. I had a video camera so I started recording just as Tanaka walk in the room everyone yelled TANAKA!! The thing that made me laugh was that he put his day bag with his suitcase so he had to go back and get it (because we were supposed to bring it with us and leave the suitcases out the front of the school).we started going to the bus and my mum was there and I gave her a hag and could not let go. Then I had to let go to get on the bus. I sat next to Angelina. I had heaps of fun. Tanaka and Molly sat in the row next to us. We started recording something we call the Tanaka hour. Its really popular (in our minds). We had heaps of fun recording it. Before we knew it we were there. Chapter 2 Arriving/Unpacking/Eating When we first got out of the bus it was a mad rush to get our suitcases eventually I got my sleeping bag and my suitcase. Then we had to take them up a hill. Later on we got told which cabin we were in. My group was 2B (it contained Me, Ryan, Tanaka, Samuel, Luca and Julian) we all went up to our cabin. It looked really clean. I got first choice to pick my bed. There was one single bed and I took it (by single bed I mean nonbunk-bed). I was first to set up my sheets and first to see the bathroom. Then we ate what we the food that we brought. I brought Doritos and stringers. It was delicious. I also got some of Claudias lollies. We also got told what animal group we were in. I was in sharks and our teaches were Mrs Park and Miss Straiten. Then we had free time and got taught a new game.

Chapter 3 Gaga/Lunch

The new game we learnt was gaga. The game was based in a mini sandpit with a small plastic yellow ball. The teacher threw the yellow ball in the air and every time it bounced we had to scream GA.GA.GA. After three bounces everyone got off the wall and they were only allowed to hit it with you palm or youre out. It has to hit under the knee if it is to get someone out. If you hit it out of the box you would be out. It was really fun. I always stayed behind a teacher because it was the safest place to be. After that we ate lunch. It was nothing special. It was just what we brought. Chapter 4 U.H.F. Radio Challenge For our first activity we did something called the U.H.F. Radio Challenge. What we had to do was: we had a radio and we had a bunch of questions we had to answer. There were fifteen questions. There were four different teams. There was team alpha, team bravo, team charily and (my favourite) team delta. I was team alpha and my group was Me, Natalie, Tanaka and Luca. One of the questions was how many brick cabins are there? Once we got the answer we had to say, This is team ___ the answer to question __ is__. and my group came second. Chapter 5 Afternoon tea/Giant swing After the first activity (U.H.F. Radio Challenge) we had free time. I played tennis for the whole time. But thanks to some people (Simon, Luca, Luke, Julian and Damien) we could not play. But later on I got asked if I liked the afternoon tea. I did not know what she was talking about until I saw people walking around with pieces of bread in there hand. So I went to try it. It was pretty good. It had sugar on top and sultanas in the middle. After that we did the Giant Swing. Luca was first on the giant swing and I was second. Once we got to the top or wherever we wanted to stop we had to pull a rope to unlatch ourselves. I went all the way. I was so scared. 54321 PULL! Before I knew it I was flying down from the 18m high swing. I felt butterflys in my stomach. As it stopped I said to Mrs Park: Can I go again? but we did not have time after that.

Chapter 6 Shower/dinner Once we got back to our cabins everyone was already there so I had to wait to have my shower. We made a deal that we have a rinse in the shower. Little did we know the first person in the shower Julian had a proper shower with the shampoo. We did not know that until we had to go to bed. Then we went in the dining hall. I was starving and I was so excited for my first dinner here everyone was waiting. We did grace. And all the people that are allergic to stuff like eggs had to go up and get there food. The person that sat next to me was allergic to eggs so he had to get his food. I went to look at his food. It looked like meat. Mmmmm I thought to my lamb shanks but when he got closer there was something yellow at the bottom. I hoped that it would be mash potato or sauce. But it wasnt. It was pasta. The first thing that came in my mind was: pasta Bolognese. That cant be pasta Bolognese, it cant! I thought to myself. Then he went to sit back down next to me. What is it I asked pasta Bolognese he answered. I frowned. Then we all went to get food. I dont want to get into it that much because it will bring the flavour back in my mouth. All I want to say is dont show my mum the recipe. It was disgusting. After dinner they said they would have dessert. I didnt know if I was supposed to be excited or scared. They said it would be chocolate mousse. When they said that, I got a bit excited. I LOVE chocolate mousse. When we went to get it I saw it. It was a site for sore eyes. But then I wounded what if it tasted bad then finally once I got back to the table, it was time to try it. It was awesome. It was an awesome way to finish the day. But little did I know that the day was not over. Chapter 7 CLUDO! We were all still in the dining room when Mrs Park said: Everyone once you get back in your cabins get your torches and a jacket and meet us in the courtyard in 5 minutes. So everyone went back to the cabins and got ready for whatever we are doing. I thought they would tell us a scary story about a

murder. But when we went outside they told us to sit down in our animal groups at the court yard and turn of our torches. So we did everyone was quite. Mrs Park said that there was this place called Manyug mansion. There was a murder in there and there was a murder in there. And they havent found the person or people that done it. Now it is up to us to find out. There are six suspects. There were the twins (two teachers I forgot their names), they always prank people and it might have been a prank gone wrong. There was Penelope Perfect (Miss Stratton), she was always perfect but no one is perfect. There was Doctor Didntseeum (Miss McGough) she was a good doctor but she did not get along with most of her patients. There was Mrs Moneymaker she had a lot of money but every one wondered we she got it because she hasnt worked for one day of her life. Then last but not least Reverent Ropeburn (Mr Mac) he would hold the village masses (I forgot why he was suspected). We had to find out who it was, what weapon and where it happened. We had a sheet that had five weapons, five locations and five people. We had to find out who it was, where it happened and what weapon it was. We had to go around and ask them questions but it would come to a price. For one we had to rap twinkle, twinkle little star. Once we did what they asked we had to ask what location it wasnt or what weapon it wasnt or what person it wasnt. Were all around camp standing somewhere we had to find them. We got everything right except the weapon. It was doctor Didntseeum in the dining room with lead pipe. We thought the weapon was poison. Chapter 8 Bed time After that we had to go to bed. We were supposed to sleep. But we didnt go to sleep. We had heaps of fun. Julian gave out lollies. Ryan and Tanaka were being funny. I hosted quiz show. We also talked about girls. But before we knew it the night was over. Chapter 9 Morning We were up all night. I saw the sun from my bed. ITS MORNING! I yelled and everyone looked through the window. Just as everyone got back in there bed

we heard a knock on the door. Come in! we all said at the same time. As the door opened we heard Rise and shine LOLLY BOYS. We were scared. But then we realized that Mr Mac said that to another cabin. Then Miss Stratton walked in the room and asked are you all awake? then we all said yes. Miss Stratin said that we need to get ready for breakfast. So we did. Chapter 10 Breakfast/indoor activity We all walked to the dining hall. We got taken to our spots and sat down. We did grace. I could not wait for breakfast. We are going to have bacon and eggs on toast. When I went to get the food I could smell the bacon and eggs. I made an egg and bacon sandwich. It was awesome. Then for the first activity we stayed indoors and we had to finish this puzzle that at the end said a sentence. We also learnt a few new games with a parachute. After that we had a race with our shoes and whichever team put them on the fastest wins.

Chapter 11 Snack We had a snack. It was muffins. They were ok. Chapter 12 Rock Pool Ramble After the snack we did something called Rock Pool Ramble. What we did is we went to the beach (it was a five minutes walk from camp Manyung. As we walked to it we saw Manyung mansion. All we did at the beach was take pictures and look around. We had to get back from it early because we had kitchen duty. Before we left there was a massive rock and everyone started to climb it. It was really high. I felt like I was king of the world. Then we had to leave. Once we got back we got old to go back to our cabins for a bit.

Chapter 13 Kitchen duty (lunch) My group was really lucky because we got to do kitchen duty on the only lunch. I had heaps of fun. We had to set up the tables, made the cordial, and we also got to pick where we sit. Every table needs a leader. Since there were a lot of us, most of us had a partner. I was with Natalie. Lunch was awesome because we had hamburgers. We got to put whatever we wanted on it. There was a massive selection of food to put on the burger. I put lettuce, cheese and tomato sauce. We also got a plate so I got heaps of pineapple and cucumber on the side. It was a really, really good lunch. Chapter 14 Tree Top Challenge After lunch we went to the Tree Top Challenge course (its an obstacle course in the trees). I could not wait for this activity. We got the suit on (that to ten minutes), then they showed us how to use the equipment on it (that took 5 minutes) and then we did the practise (which took 20 minutes). But it started to rain when we were half way on the practise. It was soft rain. But it got harder and harder. Then we could not do it because it was raining to hard. I was really disappointed. Chapter 15 Afternoon tea When we got back to the dining hall we had afternoon tea. O MA GAWD I yelled when I walked in to the dining hall because they all had hot chocolates and cake. Nearly everyone was in the dining hall except my animal group. We had hot chocolates with cake. It was awesome. Chapter 16 Battle Ship

For our second indoor activity we played a human sized battle ship with balls instead of bullets. I had heaps of fun. We had a match of boys vs. girls and the teaches joined the girls team.

Chapter 17 Shower/Dinner When we got back we went to the cabins and I had a shower. Then we went to dinner in the dining room. I really hoped that we would have good food. When we went up to get the food I could smell roast. It was roast. It looked yum. It was yum. It was served with potato and gravy. Chapter 18 Swap/movie After dinner we had some free time in the court yard. I sat in in my cabin. Julian was being stupid and annoying. He started to call me names. He really started to get on my nerves. So I left for a second so I could claim down. But I forgot something in my cabin. I started to open the door and someone bashed the door so it closed. So I started pushing and screaming OPEN THE DOOR. Then the person who was holding the door closed had stopped. As soon as I walked in the door I saw Julian ran into the bathroom then he flashed the toilet a pretended that it was not him. All the others were telling we it was him. I got really mad and I started shoving him and swearing at him. So I left the cabin and went into my friend Matthews cabin. We talked. He asked if I wanted to change cabins and move to his. I thought about it. I asked if it was ok with them. They all said yes. So I asked the teacher. She said yes. So I moved. Then, not long later we watched a movie. It was robots. Chapter 18 Bedtime/next day When we went back to our cabins I fell asleep straight away because I was really tired. The next day was a blur. The only thing that I really remember is

that we did the great Manyung race (it was like the amazing race). Then before I knew it we went on the bus and went straight back to school. The End
