Review comments from the community on how the Holy Spirit moves us.. read around the table by each member of the team. Encouragement given to keep focus on the horizon - navigating through change. Changes coming.... Kelsey letter of resignation received and read by each. Pastor Eileen reiterated Kelsey is not disliking of her position but after completing CPS training felt called to continue and pursue full time employment with Evergreen hospital.

* Discussed current position and noting that staff has been the ones in the past to determine what the job description would look like - now it will be the task of this leadership team to develop the job description. Not someone to do/organize all ministries but look at the blank slate to see what is needed for this community. * Small churches are struggling all over the US - we need to get people to volunteer and eliminate the 28hours to be spent elsewhere. * Do things as volunteer groups to help with routine tasks. * Volunteers for Sunday's are tough to get worship related tasks are tough to get covered. Getting worship services organized and innovative changes would struggle. *Janet will volunteer to work with pre-school and youth. Be a liaison w/preschool. * HS youth on Wednesday - Kelsey's departure will be big void here. This is a relational strength. *Small groups *Need relational hub - team needs to decide what is the priority. *More visible community - coffee hour or potluck on front lawn. *Service on front lawn *VBS huge connection to community! Needs a lot of volunteers *Dog drinking station in front of church w/treats (meeting people where they are) *Missions that can be sustainable *Sunday school program - IMPORTANT For new job description: - everyone list 5 things they want the position to cover - compare to previous description - create a progressive job description - look at the horizon that our community has established for us - build description with general tasks and then build the job around talents of hired person. Contemporary Christians BELONG* BEHAVE * BELIEVE Can faith be developed other than Sundays? * Families are gone on weekends * Christ didn't have set engagements * Can faith come outside of church? * Not just deliver but receive also * Be open and exclusivity of community messages * IN/OUT/UP
