The Grand Jury charges: COUNT 1 That from an unknown date, and continuing thereafter up to, on or about January 25, 2012, exact dates being known and unknown to the Grand Jury, within the Middle District of Alabama, and elsewhere, defendant KYlE VAREZ D. WARD did conspire with others known and unknown to the Grand Jury, to commit an offense against the United States of America, to-wit: sports bribery, in any manner and for any purpose, and did an act to effect the object of the conspiracy, to-wit: did solicit one or more individuals to influence a sporting contest, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 371. COUNT 2 That from an unknown date, and continuing thereafter up to, on or about January 25, 2012, exact dates being known and unknown to the Grand Jury, within the Middle District of Alabama, defendant KYlE VAREZ D. WARD, did carry into effect, and attempt to carry into effect, and conspired with another person to carry into effect a scheme in commerce to influence, in any way, by bribery a sporting contest, with

knowledge that the purpose of such scheme was to influence by bribery that contest, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 224.
