An Education: Chapter Summaries Chapter One: A Most Capricious Meeting Kijima, looking for a little fun, sets his

sight on Kyoko. Approaching her, they hang out for the night, and he finds out a little more about her than most anyone knows. A beautiful friendship is born leading to something more? (November 25) Chapter Two: In For the Kill Kijima takes a very contemplative and confused Kyoko out for castellan, where he then tells her pointblank that he wants to sleep with her. Things heat up and he brings her over to his apartment, where he then (after a few revelations) restrains himself to his fingers, and then unwittingly agreeing to being a sex teacher to a surprisingly eager Kyoko who strangely wants to watch him jerk off and then joins him. (November 26) Chapter Three: Dirty. Little. SECRET. After dinner and agreeing the friends with benefits, Kyoko crashes at Kijimas place. He has a mild panic attack to what he agreed to, and unsure how to go about things but doesnt retract. Kyoko wakes up to find out Kijima is a college student on the side (seeing him doing schoolwork) and that he sometimes wears glasses. He also sort gives her a life lesson/advice on taking college classes herself. Kyoko makes him breakfast, they go to work together and is seen by Ren, and Ren confronts Kijima about it and warns him away from Kyoko. He gets irritated by the whole thing, but pretends to be impersonal with Kyoko to keep up the charade. Kyoko is with Itsumi and Oohara, they talk about Kijima, and she wishes she could talk about him too. (November 26-27) Chapter Four: Lil Red and the Big Bad Wolf Kijima gets irritated and impatient with the no talking to Kyoko thing, and ends saying forget it and coming over to her. They banter, he learns about his nickname, and they try to look normal and not too friendly with each other as theyre being watched by Ren. Then their scene comes up, and they up making Naoyuki and Mios scene looking a little too intimate, but the director is hit by inspiration. He and his team have a meeting after everythings wrapped up for the day, and Kijima ends up asking Kyoko if she wanted to go clubbing with him. Ren overhears and refuses for her, and theres a standoff between him and Kijima. Kyoko hesitantly cuts in and says shell think about it, and Kijimas happy about that. But in her dressing room, Yashiro tries to warn her about Kijima. Kijima overhears and coolly lets Kyoko make her choice, that its okay if shes wary of being near him now and if she changes her mind, she can always call him back. (November 27) Chapter Five: Be a Little Inappropriate (In the Company of Wolves) The Darumaya couple encourages her to go ahead and go, to actually act her age and have fun for once. Kyoko calls up Kijima, whos happier because of it and picks her up and gets her dolled up for a club. They go clubbing, run into some of Kijimas friends, and Kyoko manages to attract Kijimas paparazzi hanger-ons who at the same time end up feeling like cads when shes doesnt get it and stays nice to them. (November 27, nighttime) Chapter Six: Oral Talk (Blow My Whistle)

Lesson number 2: Oral. Kijima uncomfortably has her research and look into it, to get a basic understanding of it in general and to prepare her before anything (assigned November 28). Also learns some showbiz terms, as well as overhearing Oohara talk about casting couches and asking about that. Also, President Lory tells Kyoko about her assignment to tend to Hizuri Kuu (after meeting Kijima, who thinks a pirate ship in a building in awesome). Moko meets Kijima, and Kyoko explains the truth a bit. Kyoko practices cooking Kyoto high cuisine with Kijima. Finally, oral. (December 3) Chapter Seven: Burn Up Kyoko picks up Kuu, cooks him dinner, gets pissed off, picks a fight, and then angrily goes to Kijimas (who tries to cheer her up). Happier but also horrified at herself, she goes over to Kuus and apologizes. Finds out about Fuwa Sho and becomes depressed. Kuu challenges her about acting, and she goes to DM set to figure Kuon out. Kijima helps her get clothes, and ends up comforting her again about Sho, who she finally tells him everything about. (December 12-13) Chapter Eight: Androgynous Prince Kyoko goes on the day as Kuon, sends pics to Kijima (but as Kuon) every once and awhile, and Kuu accidentally catches a glimpse of Kyokos phone and sees Kijimas number at the top, as well as he and Kyokos picture at the front. He asks Kyoko/Kuon about him after the charade is over and gets suspicious. Kyoko practices cooking her sponge cake of ulterior motives for Kuu with Kijima, and tells him how much she misses playing Kuon and wished it didnt have to end or how she felt about Hizuri-sensei. (December 14) Chapter Nine: Papas Not Here to Preach Kuu catches Kijima in the morning at his first job, and asks for time to talk. He confronts Kijima about Kyoko, and intensely grills the other. They spend the rest of the day together in what Kuu calls seeing if hes worthy of his other son. Once satisfied, they exchanged numbers and Kuu requests that Kijima update him about Kyoko and how shes doing. Kyoko and Kuus last night together, before he leaves the next morning and she greets him as Father in a goodbye (Kijima hidden and taking picture and video as a favor to Kuu, and a secret gift to Kyoko.
