The plot of the movie is that Rizal was thrown in Dapitan and there he had a new home. Here, he helped the children to have a free education, and he also rendered his being a doctor by healing several townspeople. Rizals sisters, Maria and Narcisa and also his mother visited him in Dapitan which made Rizal happy and excited. But when they were eating, he mentioned his cousin Leonor but unfortunately, his family brought the bad news of the death of Leonor which made Rizal sad. And then one day, Josephine Bracken brought his stepfather George Taufer for Rizal to heal him in his blindness. And Rizal had a love at first sight with Josephine. And they both decided to get married so Rizal told it to his stepfather and he became mad so he tried killing himself by a razor but Rizal prevented it by holding his wrist back. But Josephine said that he needs to accompany his stepfather to go home so she left Rizal. But, after a few days, Rizal was surprised because Josephine went back for him for their relationship so they continued their decision of getting married, unfortunately, the priest does not want Rizal to get married in the Catholic Church because the priest does not allow an Erehe or a traitor of the church. So they decided to exchange vows by themselves in front of God. So they lived as husband and wife in Dapitan, and they were expecting a baby, but Maria was suspicious of Josephine being a spy and so Rizal came to talk to Josephine but Rizal was so angry at her so he pushed Josephine and kept on yelling at her until Josephine was on the ground in pain, Rizal did not realize that the baby was coming out until her sister told him so and that caused the death of the child of Rizal with Josephine. And Rizal buried his child in Dapitan.
