Compellent Storage Center Installation Overview

The installation of the Compellent Storage Center consists of the following general tasks: Pre-Installation: Gathering the pre-installation information and configuration information such as available power, rack space and IP information Copilot Notification 10 Days prior to an installation or an upgrade, notify Copilot Services Installation: Rack mount the Compellent Storage Center components Cable the Compellent Storage Center components Performing the initial system setup procedures Configuring the Compellent Storage Center features as needed Completing the Installation Documentation Performing Copilot orientation

The Compellent Proposed Configuration Document

This document is generated by the Compellent Sale Representative or Business Partner. This document is optional however it helps Copilot verify a proposed installation or upgrade and it helpful in providing good support. Detail and accuracy are key to this document, so the better the detail, the better the document. The Proposed Configuration document should have at a minimum: A list of hardware needed to support the customer's storage requirements A connectivity diagram to illustrate the connections between the Controller(s), Enclosure(s), Network and Server(s) Network information such as IP addresses, subnet masks Additional applications purchased by the customer Any other recommendations based on inputs received
