Blessing

The LORD said to Moses, 23 Tell Aaron and his sons, This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them:

The LORD bless you and keep you;

the LORD make his face shine upon you

1. Describe an experience in which another person blessed you. How did it come about? How did it affect you? 2. Read Luke 6:28. We can all agree that this is counterintuitive and very hard to do. But it is a direct command from Jesus. What would be the benefit of actually practicing this in all our dealings with others? 3. Study Numbers 6:22-27. Which phrase in the blessing stands out to you? Why? 4. Choose a partner, and give this blessing to the other, paying full attention. Look into their eyes if you can stand it. Do it phrase by phrase, slowly and thoughtfully. Think: what are you giving to the person receiving the blessing?
