7 SECURITY GUARD VACANCIES (SGB2) –CROYDON

We are recruiting staff to protect Border & Immigration Agency property

and employees against loss or damage. Controlling the authorised
access/egress of staff, public and staff reception duties, crowd control,
incident control, searching duties, escorting duties, internal and external
patrols, monitoring and responding to alarms.

On rare occasions you may need to deal with volatile situations,

primarily using verbal skills but on occasion physical intervention would
be required – training would be given for this. Could you handle this?

Do you consider yourself able to do a demanding days work involving a

wide range of duties?

Do you have good communication skills, reading and writing skills and
are you able to apply sound common sense? Could you follow set
procedures and be mindful of Security and Health and Safety Matters?

Do you have Customer Service Skills you could bring to this role, and
are you prepared to wear a uniform and project a smart, helpful and
efficient service?

Do you hold A-C passes at GCSE/O Level or equivalent in two subjects,

one being English Language or Literature?

Job Specifications
• Working a 41 hour week (Salary £13763-£15233. All starters
commence on the minimum point)
• Some weekend work may be required, either as a part of the
working week or may be paid as overtime
• Plus London Location Allowance of £1710 per annum
• Working shifts between the hours of 6am and 10pm, for which
you will receive a Shift Working Allowance of 12.5%
• Weekly rosterd hours may exceed the 41 hour basic week,
though this is not compulsory. (This will be paid as overtime
though no overtime can be guaranteed)
